City 2 surf. Was so much fun! I loved it. Such a nice day, great atmosphere and really fun, I love the course. Stuck to my race plan of trying to start steady, then steady up heartbreak hill and then pushed harder from about 8km. Had a gel at 8k and then just focused on pushing hard for last 5km. I felt really good (mostly downhill from there!) and was really happy with how I ran. Was glad to beat last years time!

Taper session on bike path at lunch. Didn't love it - was a bit windy and felt like I couldn't really get going. Did 4x1' (1' jog) 4 x 30" (1' jog).

Swam 1km. Couldn't really be bothered as so worn out from work and it was cold... But actually it was really nice once I got going.

Body balance class. Very nice and hip stretches were great!

Intervals with Al around the usual loop in the usual dark and cold (-5!), although could hear birds tweeting and see the sun beginning to rise so I feel the end of winter is nigh! Did a tough session of 8 x 2' (1' jog), 2' jog then 4 x 30" (30" walk). Was glad when I'd done it!
