2 days after surgery I am missing my exercise induced endorphins and heading down to the gym for a free weekly pass. Doctor said recumbent bike is ok. Happy to achieve something in my 'crippled' state!

Note

Recovering from shoulder surgery - still quite happy from anaesthetic and pain meds. Learning very quickly what can and what can't be done one handed. Makes you realise how lucky we are with 2 arms and hands.

Fasting in preparation for my shoulder surgery. Arrived at hospital at 7;30 but no action for a while. Lots of waiting and dreaming of a nice croissant. Think I was finally operated around 10am. General aesthetic is pretty amazing. Woke up with huge arm sling velcroed to a cushion that rests on tummy/hip.
The realisation of how little I will be doing over next few days hits me slowly ...
