Since I started the full-time job in June, fitting enough exercise into my life has been challenging. The biggest challenge is making myself do stuff at lunchtime during the work week. If I weren't working, I could easily exercise every day! It seems like every minute is accounted for, and I'm always rushing to get to work or to get home. Once I'm home at night, and have walked the dog, I just want to eat dinner and relax. Exercising at night doesn't really fit my schedule b/c I go to bed pretty early.
Somehow this seems like not enough, but perhaps at least realistic:
Sunday - long moderate to vigorous cardio (1-2 hrs)
Monday - strength training (30 min)
Tuesday - moderate to vigorous cardio (30-45 min)
Wednesday - rest
Thursday - moderate to vigorous cardio (30-45 min)
Friday - rest or short walk (20-30 min)
Sat - core / pilates / yoga (30-45 min)
I guess I could always do a pilates / core / yoga later at night after my dinner has digested, even on days when I did cardio. That could help. I also have some small weights I could be using at home while watching tv at night.
How do other people fit exercise into their full-time job schedule?
