What fun! NYE course set by hughmac4, with hughmac3 breathing down my neck the whole time to keep me moving - great workout, great company. My dream came true - and I hope it means more orienteering with the Hughs in 2017.

John Heinz - muddy, dreary afternoon.

1-15:40 - walking
2-15:05 - walking
3-12:56 - walk 25 paces, jog 50 paces
4-11:58 - walk 25 paces, jog 70 paces
5-12:08 - walk 25 paces, jog 75 paces
6-12:19 - walk 25 paces, jog 80 paces
7-11:43 - walk 25 paces, jog 90 paces
8-11:03 - jogging lethargically

so, interesting. i thought increasing the jogging paces incrementally would decrease the min/mile, but apparently i just slowed down the jogging speed incrementally for the most part! there were particularly muddy slippery parts of this route, though - that was probably more the issue.
