Yoga 30:00 [3]

Back in Philly, working with Brian on sharing our knowledge with each other - I teach a pose to him (or series of poses), he teaches a few to me. Back and forth until an hour plus has passed! Really a lot of fun and I hope a new activity we'll practice consistently.

Note

Thought about looking into West Point but it looks like the usual good places to stay (for cheap) are booked. How can shitty motels charge $175 / night?? It's preposterous!

Orienteering race 1:01:27 [3] 3.44 mi (17:52 / mi) +595ft 15:21 / mi
shoes: Salomon Speedcross 3

Green Course at Hibernia. Thanks to hughmac4 and his girls for the ride and good company!

All in all, it was wonderful to get out into the fresh air and amble around in the woods. Made some small errors, one big error at #8. Mostly just felt like I did not have running energy and walked a lot, so I was annoyed at myself for not being in better shape especially in easier sections. But I did a good job looking ahead and thinking about routes for controls to come while I was walking :)

#4 (53) - WHY? Maybe I approached this incorrectly, but it was really trashy in there and felt like a bad place for a control.

#7 (71) - Went up along the smaller creek instead of trail, and I think that slowed me down as it was thicker than anticipated. Was feeling stubborn about wanting to be off-trail.

#8 (72) - DUH! This should have been a totally easy control but I somehow ended up in the field way south of the trail I wanted to be on. Luckily recognized and corrected before getting too turned around or upset.

Can't wait for more O this season!! I love being able to focus on one thing, getting from point A to point B! All of life's other distractions fall by the wayside. :)
