Crum Loop with Creek Crossing!

My GPS watch was measuring things wrong (got to trailhead and it said .28, when it's .50). Luckily this route was wheeled out by one of the Hughs (which one?? both?? I don't know.)

I'm surprised by my time. I felt slower and did intermittent walking in places that were flat. But it just goes to show, go slow to go fast - for me, anyway. I really think that I am better with a walk/run mix as opposed to flat out jogging. I recharge in those little walking intervals - my heart beat slows, I catch my breath, something - and the overall time is the same or even faster with breaks of walking. I don't know though - could just mean I'm out of running shape. At any rate, it feels like what my body wants to do for now! (Rt knee hurting a bit again, just towards end.)

Woods were really nice today - open visually, with the green covering of lesser celandine. Creek crossing felt great towards the end!

The only downside - this made me very tired and I had to go teach another yoga class. Went okay, though.

A beautiful day in the woods and good company, too! Fun to get out and try some of hughmac4's coaching advice to trust myself / have more confidence. Don't know how well it worked. I navigated "okay" and was challenged physically by the climb and the running opportunities near the end of the course.

Took me 3 controls or so to get into the map.

6-7-8 - really fun going downhill / 13-14 whee!

8 was my best control. I saw it from SO far away!

10 to 11 - probably should have gone down to the trail, but wanted the experience of navigating in terrain and didn't feel like climbing back up.

Slogging uphill is where I slow way down. Really fun day, though! And Brian is starting to catch up to me, I better watch out...

FDR 1.5 loops. Quick one just to get that "30 minutes of moderate activity" in on a rainy day. Yesterday I felt SOOOO tired, and then I slept 10 hrs and today I still feel tired. Too much teaching? Allergies? Change of life? (Gasp!) I dunno. Zzzz.
