Wow it's hot. Yesterday was 24 degrees C. It's still pretty warm.
Nothing exciting to report today. Ran a run around the street. I'm going to try increase frequency of runs and see if my body can handle shorter distance more frequently. Seems to make more sense to do longer runs for the cardio benefit, but I was finding my body wasn't liking it so much.
Should look for a goal. 5km road races are out. Yuck. I guess I'm just not built for speed. I look at my shadow when I'm running. It's not pretty. I look so "heavy." I don't have the typical runner's build, but that's not what I'm talking about. I just look not light on my feet. Heavy.

Decided to do some fartleks instead. Should have run yesterday but was called into work.
I held a game for the XC kids. We had three teams of 2. I'd taken pictures of items around the rec. complex. The kids picked a photo at random, and had to go find the object, take a pic with their cel phones and report back. Some items were close (like 3 feet). Some were far. Evened out the chance of anyone winning.
Winner got a farm animal. At the end of my series of running game, the kid with the largest zoo will win the "zoo master" trophy.
Next weekend, I'm introducing them to trail. I think I might try a Xmas easter egg hunt. Nothing like mixing holiday traditions
