Cycling 57:34 [3] 17.0 mi (17.7 mph)

Pre doctors ride. Couldn't be arsed and nearly didn't go, feeling a bit knackered.

Docs said swollen glands probs nothing to worry about but did blood tests just in case.

Felt pretty tired riding (initially because brake was sticking) but a fairly decent clip.

Note
(rest day)

Got my hair cut, pick up some camping stuff form Halfords and drove out to the peaks for a run (target 5-10 miles).

But, I've just felt fucked all day today. I'm not training for anything and I wanna enjoy my holiday, so got back in the car and drove home. Hate missing training.

Achilles has felt ok all day today, but my left knee is niggling again.

Hoping to get up some mountains on holiday- will be pretty gutted if I don't

Lovely morning

Running 1:09:22 [3] 9.8 mi (7:05 / mi)

Was gonna do a 2 1/2 hour ride in the peak incl some #StravaWanker efforts. But decided not to be an antisocial bastard and sacked it to get home for tea wit the in-laws. Instead I took the opportunity to try a longer run.

Felt very unfit, but achilles only odd, never too painful. Got home and my father in law left immediately and drove to Oxford. Such is our relationship. Next time Ill be an antisocial bastard.

Nervous wait to see how the achilles is tomorrow….please let me run on holiday!

Planned rest day
Pretty tired.

Woke up with a normal feeling Achilles and was dreaming of a full week of running, but it hurt as soon as I put my trainers on.

We'll see..

Cycling 1:34:00 [3] 20.5 mi (13.1 mph)

Finished off the Friday ride taking in 2 more cobbled climbs around Keighley (Thwaites Brow, Hainworth Lane). Thwaites was the hardest of the lot, very technical wit very uneven cobbles and gaping holes. Would have died on it if I'd tried it Friday!

Took ages to find the route and went with Tod so felt a bit pressured that I was making his ride shit!

The over to Oakworth for "Goose Eye", great name, good climb.

Sacked it when we got back to Haworth (planned to at least go to Hebden Bridge for two climbs there). The lure of a lift with Tim and some time with Hatts/Soph was too strong.

My body took enough pounding over a brilliant weekend.

Still annoyed about loosing 8 miles of GPS data on Friday…feels like it didn't count!
2 PM

Cycling 1:12:08 [3] 18.0 mi (15.0 mph)

From Oli's house home. Headwind the whole way. Not fun. Felt knackered..defo a good call not to cycle home
