Road Running warm up/down 30:00 [3]

Warm up for the running LT test. Ran around the SLU campus with Erin. Raining... girls don't like it when you jump into puddles and get them wet.

Track Workout (LT Test) 8:00 [5]

Test went well enough (a very painful 8min). It was rainy and windy on the track. The lack of sleep the week before and especially the night before were perhaps no help.

I forgot my HRM so I can't fill in the splits. Started out a bit to quick and had to slow up in order to maintain control after 800meters or so. Finished strong with a sub 5min pace.

Mountain Biking (some roads) 57:34 [3]
ahr:143 max:175 rhr:44 slept:6.0 weight:163lbs

Felt very good on the bike, climbing well. More exploring. Headed a mountain to the west riding a dirt access road at first(very steep) and then headed off on some hiking trails all the way to the summit. I didn't really know where I was going but wanted to climb as much as I could. Had trouble finding a trail off the top but didn't want to take the same route I came up. Had to do a bit of inventing down the very steep back side. Not really the kind of thing that is recommended when you are riding solo with no cell phone and not really knowing where you are. It was fun though - super technical and super steep. Came out on a dirt road made my way back through the center of town and back up to Lake Kezar. Our town is really cool!

Road Running 45:11 [4] 7.0 mi (6:27 / mi) +300m 5:42 / mi
ahr:163 max:182 rhr:41 slept:7.0 weight:162lbs

Run around the block. I like the new neigborhood. Such a sunny and nice day with smells of early summer. I started off a bit slow and sluggish, but after 2-3 miles I was running with good form. I hope to push the run a bit the next time I do this loop.

Woods Running 1:02:00 [2]

Very light running in the woods after getting home from work. GPS'ing streams, and a few other features here and there in the woods around our house.

Then had to unpack all the gear from Saturday's race, clean it, and overhaul the bikes. My bike was in pretty rough shape due to lack of thorough cleaning since before the Swamp Stomp... yikes!

Note
(rest day)

Erin and I had plans to run around in the woods a bit, but instead we slept late'ish, and ate lots of food. We did manage to head north up to Lebanon to take care of a few things, but overall just had a lazy day.

MUST get out on the bike this week!!
