| Scout orienteering race - national championships (ROT). Orienteering with full equippement for life in nature. Course challenged us with additional tasks such as: long distance cartography (1:500), trail cartography (1:13500), terrain profile (1:12500), mine field sketch and mine field pass, first aid tasks, etc.
Second day offered CP approach from certain angle, Winkler code signalisation, accurate tophographic map (1:333), checking obligatory equipement.
Orienteering was mostly smooth. I made a few bad route choices, but otherwise we have been nailing CP's both days.
Finished first out of 14 teams.

| National Trail-O championships organised by actual World Champion. Made stupid mistake in the first time control and 5 more on the track. I thought I'd do better; however there is always some factor of uncertainty, connected to decisions. Some measurements/observations give you one, others the other answer.
In the end - silver in the National Championships. Most of competitors finished with 11 points, there was one unimaginable result with only 1 mistake and 16 points. Magnificent. |
