| Slovenian National Championships in Relay. Ran with Jazbar. 3rd place in N.C. My first medal in N.C. :) Anyway - I did not run too good, I was not too motivated, I ran the map with difficulty, I could not run fast. My orienteering was quite OK, despite 5:30 of mistakes.
Looks like, I am still tired - if I look at my average and maximum heart rate. Anyway - organisation was good, map was interesting, but not very well made at all places. Laser print of the map made it really difficult to read, although - this was not so big problem. It was interesting to run trough the town at 1:10 000 scale. Lots of stops for map reading. Orienteering itself was interesting - though the map has very little usable terrain. Again - I ran just above 10 mins/km, without mistakes I would have fallen below. Andraz ran 37 minutes something, with no mistakes I'd make around 45 minutes, which is decent. There was one big mistake (I came out of the map on the slope - I suppose Ivan made the same mistake), one medium mistake on a detailed slope, which bothers me is a series of small 15s mistakes, which puts doubt in my slow running with accurate orienteering.

| I didn't have a good feeling before the start. I was really tired and after a long time - quite full of orienteering. Motivation was good because I was running a mixed relay with the Japanese guys and I didn't want to let them down ...
However - the first control was bad ... Down the hill and then up the hill. No tricks. Then it got a bit better, but I made a big mistake on CP4, once again on CP7. Then - from 8 - 11 there was a lot of uphill, so ... I was slow again. I have to do something about those uphills! In the end 8:30 of mistakes. And again average time of 10 min/km and something.

| WUOC sprint. I was tired from the previous two days so I could not really run fast. I got slower by minute ... I made a few mistakes, but not too much (about 30 seconds), but I was just too slow. In the end 73. out of 77 runners.
Oh, yes. I've broken my SILVA 6 JET spectra on the sprint! It was slippery after control in the middle of the well. Now I am proud owner of Moscompass with lenses. ;) It was 3 times cheaper and some find it even better ... I think, I don't.

| Today was the middle distance at WUOC. A little more hope for me than yesterday if I'd manage a mistakeless race. I didn't ... I made 8 minutes of mistakes and besides - I was too tired from yesterday so I couldn't run uphill ... In a tough competition this means a lot ... So I ended up - as expected - at the bottom of the list. Well - almost. I've beaten complete US team. :)
Track itself was interesting - though - there was too much uphill in the first part of the course and a few long legs were taken through not especially interesting terrain. Undergrowth was tougher today - I did not expect that ... I am not pleased with the run ... Again just over 10 min/km which is not really good for a WUOC runner. :) Well - even 9 min/km would not be. :) The international feeling is getting better and better.
| Orienteering 20:00 [3] | ||
| Warm up before competition. Some running in and some orienteering on the warm-up map. Felt allright. | ||

| Orienteering 20:00 [3] | ||
| Warm up before long distance WUOC race. I just checked the map, did some easy running and then did a lot of stretching. More running would have no effect. :) | ||

| Long distance at the WUOC. Longest race I've ever run ... Terrain was similar to training. Some easy karst - partly stony. I had made a few small mistakes, but only to the CP2 it was crucial (I lost 7 minutes since I was so confused that I was running around the control, not seeing it). After 50% of the race I started to feel my left knee, which was injured on the OO.cup, however - in a while the pain stopped; but I was thinking about abandoning the race.
I managed to the end, result is not very good, but ... For a 14km race, I am very satisfied with a time around 10 min/km. Winner went just above 5 min/km!!! This is better than I can do at sprint. :)

| I was running on the map of model event at WUOC. Extremely nice map and probably the best terrain I have been to. Partly it was nothing special - usual kontinental terrain, but the southern part of the map was amazing. Quite flat with small hills, depressions, swamps ... Very detailed, but extremely fast though just within my technical level. Heavenly. I wanted not to run too much and too fast ... But I just couldn't hold back. | ||

| Had a training at karstic terrain near Roznava, Slovakia. Nice, fast terrain, large depressions not too detailed. Easy to run. Not too much stones. Enjoyed. I visited L'adnica (ice cave) at the end of the course.
I have been running with Andraz ... Pleased with performance.

| Slow running with Tina and Kovax around Ro~nik. Did one short and one longer uphill interval. I felt really tired - like I do feel all these days, but after 25 minutes of running I felt better and capable of some fast running. | ||
