| AAC relay. Ran for Slovenia 2 team with Janez Pretnar and Stanislav Kustec. Kusti injured himself during the way to the start control, so he was running quite reserved.
I started well, nailing controls, but having some problems on the legs. Even map was not perfect from my point of view. I was quite slow in the dense network of paths, which is ... Interesting. Otherwise I was runninng quite well; I made one mistake towards the end by following leader from Austria and loosing him and even loosing touch with the map. I relocated after a while and proceeded towards the end. I lost all my power after around 4 km's and barely ran towards the end. I took the direct but slower variants. In the end it was still kind of a decent run.

| I did a thorough time analysis by leg for today's race. I started great with tempo below 7' per km. Then got tricked up in the terrain, but on the path from 2nd to 3rd I ran in 5' per km. There was also some uphill and some tricky approach. When I made the circle around the tricky terrain and I ran a similar leg back to 10th i ran around 8' per km. This is how tired I was. By 3' per km. I also did 2 major booms and this made alltogether 11' of mistakes. Quite a lot.
First major boom was to 5th. I have seen the control, but figured out it was not mine. Map was not good there! I already described my error to the 9th. My time without mistakes would be around 62' and to get to the decent 55' I'd have to have a little bit more strength in my feet! At least to keep the pace through the whole course. Well, maybe I could if I wasn't for 2.5 hours in the forest yesterday.

| This was an amazing race! Best I have ever been to. Terrain was virtually without paths and course setting has been done so you did not really run over any path if you'd chosen the best option. Imagine that on a vast field of really deep depressions! Really great.
I'd run a solid race up to 4th, where I have been cought by Jaka and Andraz. Before the race I sort of figured out I'd try their tempo on the track for a few controls. Without the will I had seem at the start, this was what Andraz proposed ... Anyway. After fifth, Jaka took the lead and if i figured it out correctly (I was not looking at the map) we ran slightly out of the map. Anyway - big boom - 10 minutes of mistake, took a lot of my will away. I have been proceeding more careful and did a solid, virtually mistakeless race towards the end. Well, I did another 5 minute mistake, but ... That was allright. It was challenging to stay focused towards the end. Anyway - before the race I had the worst diarea ever in my life. I'd spent most of the time bofore the start on the WC. I was thinking about not starting, since also dehydration could be an issue. Anyway - I did and it went allright in the end. I, of course, didn't feel too good on the start. On the terrain I have seen many aces loosing their touch with the map. I'd seen Martin Pongratz, who started before me, around 8th, Kiril Nikolov quit the race to ... Loosers. ;) I hate people that quit the race if they are not doing it perfect. It might be that I don't understand the top sport, but ... I guess, these guys lost their joy somewhere on the way.

| Plitvice Alpe Adria Cup. Sprint. Made a 4 minutes mistake to the first control and there was not much motivation left to proceed. Pity. First leg was way off course and best route choice would be back from the maps and around. At least by a first glance. That totally annoyed me and I ran past the control and made the mistake. Orienteering itself was demanding but many routechoices have been not very inovative - only one way - by the track. Quite some uphill. | ||

| Warm up before the race. Did not warm down, since I was quite disappointed on my 6 minutes of mistakes. | ||
