Easy laps around the park. Knee showed up like clockwork right at mile 4, but out of stubbornness I kept going. Gradually disappeared after another 4 miles. Will have to see if this is a reliable occurance over the next several runs...

Lots of upper body, and leg work to try to isolate any imbalances/weaknesses that might be affecting my knee...eem to have a very tender/painful medial quad muscle on the left leg. Makes sense.

Day turned into a very long hike as my knee acted up just after Toutle crossing and delegating me to stop running. Power walked the last 20 miles. Didn't feel great at the start but was running quick enough and where I wanted. Was really looking forward to getting to the more runnable middle section ready to rock, but no go. Was certainly feeling sorry for myself for about hour. Took a bit to get in the headspace of having to put in a long day, but once I got determined the groove was good. Amazing how fast one can hike if focused. Fun to be around a different group of runners than I usually find myself with. Legs sore today---sunburned. Otherwise feel good, just a bit sleepy...

Gtown out and back towards newberry. Test of the leg...will be really surprised if Saturday goes uncompromised. There could be a long stretch of pain in the forecast. Determined to finish, even if its a hike.
