Still down. Productive cough with dark green to grey sputum. Lymph nodes below my mandible are visibly swollen, BUT the leftover Ceftin from Holly that I found yesterday seems to be working: less dependent on NSAIDs, eating fewer cough drops today and appetite is better.

Seems like I've turned the corner. Debating going back to the doc vs finishing the Ceftin we have. Almost certain I'm not running the 100k this weekend. If anything, I'll run the first loop (50k) and pull the plug. I paid for the race, and I can use the pacing and nutrition practice. Plenty of room in the Chimera 100k in November so I can sign up for SD 100.

SD slam looks like it's over this time around. Will have to start over with the PCT 50 in May, then SD 100 in June, Noble Cyn in Sept and finish with the 100k in Oct. Rats.

Still really sick and eating is very painful. Cranking on the NSAIDs to keep the swelling down so I can suck down some ramen and soft-boiled eggs. Not good thia close to a 100k, but nothing I can do.

G and H are both sick, G getting hives from the virus and now has bilat ear infections. H got off easy with "just a cold".

Throat was WAY worse last night and today. Called out of work, in to the Dr. who said neg strep, but gave me a Z-pak scrip once I told him about Cuyamaca next week. NEXT WEEK! Resting.

H had some kind of weird throat infection and now I have it. Only lasted 4 days, but throat is sore, lymph nodes are swollen and I'm really run down. Cold sores popping up like crazy. G didn't sleep last night so neither did we, then he spiked a fever in Target and puked all over the place. So no running for me today.

Raining so on the 'mill.

Walked 3 to start @ 18:10
Then 10:2 @ 8:41 and 18:10
Walked 2 after for auto cool down. Legs are tired and so am I, HR nice and controlled though. 8:41 is my cap. Period. HR sub 151.

Aiming low on this one, probably 16 hours. OOF.
