Saturday Feb 3 #

Run 1:13:53 [3] 7.66 mi (9:39 / mi) +175ft 9:26 / mi
shoes: Hoka ATR 3

Walked 5, then jogged 10 to warm up, then did 8 x 1k at 10k effort with :30 rest. Not great, probably tired from being on the feet all day yesterday in the desert after the smoke from the controlled burn drifted into town.

4-6 are probably what 10k looks like right now (7:34 pace). A LONG way from 40:30 BITD.

Thursday Feb 1 #

Run 47:48 [3] 3.25 mi (14:43 / mi) +171ft 14:01 / mi
shoes: Hoka ATR 3

Started as a stroller jog with the fam, thought I could let G run around the campground while I got my track workout in, but he wasn't having it. Zach started losing his shit and that was it.

Tuesday Jan 30 #

Run (Treadmill) 22:25 [3] 2.25 mi (9:58 / mi) +119ft 9:29 / mi
shoes: Hoka ATR 3

Warmed up for 5 @ 3.3 MPH, then jogged 10 @ 6.0. Had 8 x 1000 planned on :30 rest (8.6 MPH), but knew by interval #2 I didn't have it and need more rest so phoned it in. Still recovering from Saturday (SORE) and plenty of time before toeing the line this year.

Monday Jan 29 #

Run 40:26 [3] 4.23 mi (9:33 / mi) +258ft 9:02 / mi
shoes: Hoka ATR 3

Easy from the house, through the county campground and the neighborhoods down to Tollgate and back. On it early to get it done before work - warm enough with the Santa Anas I to get out and avoid another treadmill session.

Legs a bit sore from Saturday, but that's to be expected with all the elevation I did. Hope it goes away, one more speed session tomorrow and then an unload starting the 31st.
