Gym Biking (Indoor) 40:00 [4]
ahr:147 max:165 (injured) shoes: Asics Kayano 1

Switched to the bike at the gym after I realized that compensation for my ankle was doing bad things to my knee on the elliptical and the power went out on my machine erasing my workout three times. So, recumbent biking. Again the "variety" setting, which spanned from resistance level 3 to 20.

(rest day)

I found a really neat weather site, and thought I'd share. Hourly temp data, cloud cover, precip as well as historical stuff, with a pretty cool gui.

Orienteering 2:30:00 [3] ***
9c shoes: Asics Kayano 1

An interesting day for me on the Green course at Box Canyon. First off, I probably shouldn't be doing the green. I have done less than a handful of courses, and my physical conditioning just isn't where my map-reading is. Also, I don't actually know what I am doing. It took me a while to get into it, and then about half way through I rolled my ankle which still hurts. But, it was fun.

More about the course... As I recall, I had issues with 1 (I really need to prepare a little bit before I just run off); 4 (looking up the wrong drainage but very convinced that I was right... Also had no idea what the symbol meant, I should probably learn some of those... I got back on track when I used some electrical poles to navigate off of). 2-3 were good, navigationally, 5-7 felt good except for the rolled ankle, which occurred frolicking down to 6 which lead to me needing to sit down and take a breather before I could walk again. I also lost count of the drainage hunting for 8, but recovered relatively quickly. I also need to remember that I can use vegetation mapping for navigation.

Based on the injury/near injury rate, I might need to beg off these until after the tri.

Afterward I took Becks to Pico de Gallo for TACOS.

Elliptical (Indoor) 1:05:00 [3] 6.0 mi (10:50 / mi)
ahr:145 max:160 shoes: Asics Kayano 1

Ended up at the UA gym, which was pleasantly devoid of most of the usual meatheads. Did the "variety" setting on the elliptical for an hour while watching a marathon of How I Met Your Mother. I was amused that there was a "distance" counter, but no units. I decided they were "miles".

Also, met up with Becky today, and while I'm sorry for her, I am pleased to see it is not just me that Rosie hates. And, she might even hate Becks more... Does that signifiy progress with me and The Devil?

Walking 45:00 [1]

More walking, but this time less annoyed about forms and more indecisive about food. And coffee. Luckily, that coffee was helpful- I finished the figures for my new Sierra site for my poster at the end of March. Tomorrow morning I'm hoping to get back on track doing something that actually raises my heart rate, other than caffeine.

Walking 1:20:00 [1]

So much walking. Mostly from office to office trying to figure out why UA administration is so incompetent.
