Note

This Monday I decided to go to the doctors to try and sort myself out. My training and racing has been suffering for about a year now and nothing seem to be helping. The last week I've also had a constant headache, feeling more tired than usual, heart's been racing even when doing the smallest thing and getting lactic acid in my legs just by walking up a couple of steps. Got an appiontment straight away and she sent me to take some blood tests.

Got the answers back today and blood levels were really low, as well as my iron levels (normal values):
Hb - 88 (117-153)
Iron - 2 (9-34)
Ferritin - 6 (10-130)

I'm so relieved to have finally found out what is wrong with me (and that there's actually something wrong, not just me being shit haha)! No wonder I've been feeling like a 90 year old woman recently...
Popping iron pills whilst the doctor is trying to find out the cause of the deficiency. Hard to say how long it's going to take to get back but hoping to respond to the treatment and feel better soon!
