Long hot run to and around n table. Thankfully it cooled in the last hour. Good suffering. Definitely ultra pace 2500 feet of gain

Easy in the heat, 1 mile with single stroller with kids on bike.

Two sessions of TM uphill walking in the garage in the heat.

Sessions one was all at 15% for one hour 3.1 miles

Session two was in the evening after the kids were down. 2.1 miles the first 30 minutes was 2.5 at 15% and then the rest was flat.

Good suffering.

NTM - uphill for 30 minutes 1 min on and 1 min off, pretty good effort. Then hard downhill until the last 5 minutes. A great 530 am morning. Amazing!

Hiking and shuffling on the Colorado Trail near Cottonwood lake/creek west of Buena Vista. Just no energy and my quads could hardly stop me downhill.

Leadville Marathon - 94th out of 712. Felt good. I had the 113 time fastest time in the first half but the 68th fastest time in the second half including the 15th fastest time for the last 2.3 miles at 5:48 minutes per mile pace.

Felt like I ran a smart race. Hydration, nutrition, and gear (not much) were right on.

The race has sure gotten competitive - 3 years ago I got 59th and I feel like I ran just as strong of a race. Oh well.

All in all a great day.
