Recovery Run 2:00:00 [3] 14.1 mi (8:31 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Addiction 9

Avg pace was 8:28. I needed a new course so I drove to Boulder and did a run that I thought would be flat - it turned out to be mostly uphill going out and mostly downhill coming back. The average was 8:28.

Not sure why but this run was a bit of a struggle. It wasn't "hard" but it wasn't fun at all. I guess we all have those days.

Walking 50:00 [3] 3.34 mi (14:58 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Addiction 9

TM- 5 minutes warmup, 20 minutes 4.2 MPH 11%, 10 minutes at 12%, 5 minutes at 13% and 5 minutes at 15%.

Felt good. This recovery week has really helped me mentally too.

flat tempo run 1:00:00 [3] 6.77 mi (8:52 / mi)
shoes: Nike frees

Pavement in the rain. Avg page 8:45, 147 HR. Did the six 1:30 segments at the following pace.
6:05 avg
6:13
6:10
6:10
6:08
5:55

Felt good during intervals. Recovered pretty quickly, but I guess not quickly enough to maintain an 8:30 pace throughout run which is what I was shooting for.

Weights 20:00 [3]

Leg weights - squats, lunges, leg extensions, hamstrings.

Weights 45:00 [3]

Upper body weights and abs.

Recovery Run 1:00:00 [3] 6.37 mi (9:25 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Addiction 9

Avg pace 9:25, HR 123 BPM. Rain run but felt good. Felt really light in the first 30 minutes, then started to feel the prior day's weightlifting in the hamstrings.

Hill Intervals 1:00:00 [3] 6.9 mi (8:42 / mi)
shoes: Nike frees

TM - 60 minutes - 5 minutes to warmup to 8:27 pace. Every .5 miles I ramped it to 6% for one minute.

This workout was not hard, but it was not as easy as I thought. I was definitely looking down at the clock during the last few hill intervals.

Weights 25:00 [3]

Leg weights - squats, lunges, leg press, hamstring exercises.
