I generally tried to run 5 10 minute segments increasing speed each segment. Flat pavement. Miles were
837, 752, 723, 705, 711, 722, 713 (uphill).
I think I more or less succeeded but of course went out a little too fast too soon. These paces were completely blind for the entire 50 minutes. I was just trying to focus on easy, slow marathon, half marathon, 10k, and 5k pace, more or less. Successful workout.
