Somehow I never get enough time before the start to do a proper job warming up :-)

3 Peaks Fell Race.
What an amazing experience!
The race started really quickly under the pressure of Ricky Lightfoot. I was able to keep up until the summit Pen-y-Ghent and down the technical section. Once the trail got more rolling Ricky and Tom Owens could pull away. Until Ribblehead they constantly increased the gap. Even though my heart rate was ridiculously low on this flat section, I just wasn't able to push harder, my legs just didn't want to do the job. But up Whernside, through the Fell and the snow my slow legs were happy to fight against some resistance and I could catch up just on the summit to Ricky. I pulled myself together to stay with him on the rolling section to Hill Inn and gave another acceleration up Ingleborough... I thought the gap would be enough, but flying Ricky almost caught me to the finish, leaving me a mere 9 seconds lead!
We were only 3minutes down the record, and our time was the second fastest ever, that is really fantastic. But I have learned my lesson, now I need to work again seriously on my speed :-)!

Finished setting controls in Serroue... in a snow storm. Just by the time I was hanging up the last control the first runner caught up to me. It was close :-)!

I tried to set controls for tomorrows O training in Serroue. But the storm was that strong that I didn't have enough light to read the map in the forest + the snow/rain was freezing... I'll have to hurry tomorrow before they start off for the training to finish the job.
