Titno Fell Race

Was in 4th and feeling pretty good and then Murray decided to take us for some extra training in the heather around the kids fell race route, which me Scott and Robert Simpson and 4 others (including Tam) stupidly followed. Soon, we realised we were going wrong when we could see about 100 people running past on the ridge above. Consequently, we had to smash it through the heather and then the race just felt so grim for here. Lost the rhythm I had early on and it was all just a grind, getting stitches and slobbering everywhere! Mentally pretty hard to get going again after so many people going past. Nobody overtook me from behind though and must have finished like 12th ish so still a decent training effort. Fair do's to Murray for still winning!

Solid session, tucking in behind Jonny on the first 2 reps and then pushing on the front on the last three reps (when I managed to catch big J back up after his notorious downhill bursts). Stomach going a bit on the last rep, think so were some of the other lads after fighting through a clag of brown mist.
