Trekking 12:00:00 [3]

West Face Climb of Mt Shasta! Slow pace but excellent training of crampons and ice ax! All the crew suffered a lot and both dudes didn't get to the summit. One of them turn arround after 2 hrs because of altitute sickness, the other one turn around after 6 hr because of exaustion! The guides weren't good, they never asked them if they were doing good. I felt like it was my obligation to take care of everybody. Bladder was prohibited and they forced everybody to keep bottles inside the bag. Ok, a bottle falling down the mountain can kill someone but you can't make a person for one hour and a half without water. I don't know, I would never recommend them to someone without experience. And she was mean, very mean.
When we got back at the camp everybody were trashed and I was just tired but felling very strong.

First day of Mt Shasta Climb. Extremelly slow pace and very heavy back packs. 2 guides, 2 old funny dudes, 1 girl and one 62 year old women (one of the strongest i've seen in my life. Nice group but slow!

We started at Bunny Flat parking lot (6,890') and finish at Hidden Valley (9,300') where we set up a base camp to attack the summit.
