Re-ran the training course backwards, with Gil shadowing me - lots of advice for improvements at the end: set compass for next leg prior to arriving at control more frequently (and check as leaving), fold map anew for most legs, look farther ahead at times to see the big, distant features, don't be afraid to go full speed when there is a great catching feature, etc.

Canoe-/Bike-/Score-O at Mendon Ponds Park. With the distance between relatively easy-to-find controls, was more of a footrace than an O meet. 20 of 24 controls were required to clear the course. I skipped the 4 canoe controls and did the other 20 on foot - beat everyone except one biker.
