Running 44:55 [3] 6.0 mi (7:29 / mi)
max:148 slept:6.75

Jumped on the treadmill at the Y during Luke's soccer, since it was just instructional this week.

Not enough time to do a marathon pace workout, so I did part a little quicker.

1 mi w/up from 7.0 to 8.0mph
2 mi @ 8.0
3 mi @ 8.2

Strength (Snow Shoveling) 25:00 [2]

Nate and I cleared the drive (as best we could) and the walk before Luke got dropped off.

Swimming 50:50 [3] 1.42 mi (35:48 / mi)
slept:5.75 weight:164lbs

3:51/7:55 (1:07 rest)
4:05/8:06 (2:39 rest)
3:58/8:01

At Bayview at lunch - turned out to be crowded, so I kept doing 500s instead of switching to 100s. There were often 5 people, the other 4 swimming between less than half my speed and less than 67%, so it was a lot of pace changing when passing or getting stuck, a bunch of open turns and plenty of zig-zagging, so the times were pretty good and I didn't have much energy for the 200s.

Running 22:57 [2] 3.0 mi (7:39 / mi)
slept:5.5

Since there was fog in addition to ice and darkness early this AM, I just jumped on the treadmill at the hotel.

1/2 w/up 7.0 to 7.5, then up 0.1mph every 0.1 miles to 8.7 and back down.

Running 49:10 [2] 5.0 mi (9:50 / mi)
slept:7.5

The route.

Ice, ice baby!

I was able to get out early this AM for a run, but the roads were seriously ice-covered - the effort was sub-8, but I was guessing the actual pace was sub-9 and it was really sub-10.

Note
slept:5.5 (rest day)

At 6am it was cold and dark, even this far south, so I couldn't drag myself out the door. Now it's 7:15pm and we're just about to leave work and grab some dinner, so the odds of running tonight are getting extremely slim.

Swimming 31:02 [3] 0.91 mi (34:05 / mi)
slept:5.75

3:58/7:58
1:25,28,28,27,26 (on 1:45)
3:18,16 (on 3:45)

2:15 flight for Dallas, so I left for the pool at 11:15, giving me about 30 minutes, so I had to cut things a bit short.

Running 41:31 [2] 5.03 mi (8:16 / mi)
slept:6.5

So, today was scheduled to be a long run, but it was also going to be a busy day, so I had to be creative. We left home at 8:30 for Mass, came home and departed for Luke's hockey game in Baldwinsville. When we got there, I had enough time to get in this run.

Luke's team got spanked pretty good, so it was a long ride home, but Chris drove, so I read more of Running With The Buffaloes.

Running 29:05 [2] 3.58 mi (8:07 / mi)

We got home just in time for me to get Nate going, and drove down to Geneseo for his hockey game. That allowed me to get this short run done while he was getting ready. His team pulled out a 4-3 win, so that drive was worth it. After his game, we cruised back to the Webster rink, arriving late in Zach's first period - his team came out on the short end as well. So, I finally made it home shortly after 8:30.

A long day, with too much of it spent in the cold (running in the teens and sitting or standing in cold ice arenas).

But it is off to Dallas tomorrow afternoon. It should be a little warmer there - I haven't really experienced over 32 degrees for many minutes outside this year.
