Running warm up/down 2:00 [2] 0.24 mi (8:30 / mi)
Arrived at the BFLO meet just in time to do the Sprint, so this was an ever-so-brief w/up, just to make sure I wouldn't pull anything after driving over.

BFLO Sprint at Hunter's Creek
Got the clue sheet at registration and almost all of the control descriptions involved trail junctions, so I thought that perhaps Patty had made the course too easy, but after I started and saw the map, it wasn't. Afterwards, Zach pointed out that there aren't a whole lot of features to use in this part of the park (we started from the Hunter's Creek road lot, instead of up top).
Zach was 2nd and was only 2 or 3 seconds behind my time at the last control, but I went straighter to the finish, FTW.
Very warm evening, which made things a bit slow. I also had struggles - I knew I was aiming to the right of #2, but it seemed like I had to go quite a ways left when I hit the trail, and the trail junction did not seem shaped as on the map, so heading towards #3, I was very hesitant, and went by #7 on the way to make sure I knew where I was. From #4 I went back by #3 because of the looks of the vegetation, so that was probably a dogleg that could have been set differently.
The woods were pleasantly open in most places, especially given the time of year, making this a fun event.
