Went to Hobart to catch the indoor track meet. Caught the 4x8 relays (the girls relay was 3 soccer players and Natalie), before heading out for a run,
mostly along Seneca Lake. The wind was coming just about straight out of the south, so it was flying up the lake (which looked more like a Great Lake with the whitecaps, than a Finger Lake). My right side was just about frozen when it was time to turn around and freeze my left side.
The trail by the lake was mostly just covered with a small amount of snow (sometimes ice), with occasional drifts, so the footing and the wind made the overall pace quite slow, but at least I was out for an hour.
Got back in time to see most of the 3200, the 600 and the 1000. Lots of great performances, with Val sticking with Shalyn Tuite the whole way to run 3:02 (and Annelise recording a nice PR). AJ won the 1000 by a ton in about 2:35. Afroless Thunder ran an outstanding race to win his heat, and Alex was not far back.
