Note
(rest day)

I must have overdone it with the exercises yesterday. The right groin told me that I was not allowed to run today.

Note
(sick)

Lyme Update: was able to significantly reduce the Vitamin I consumption yesterday, down to 5 tabs I think, and the headache is becoming less of a factor. As of now (noon), no pills since before 5pm yesterday and very little notice of the head this AM. Was comfortable sleeping last night, so I'm guessing the fever has stayed away, and the primary rash has faded significantly, and the two secondary rashes are almost gone.

I still feel slightly out of it, but that may be medicine related, since it started after I started the pills (and it was the worst on Tuesday when I almost couldn't walk to the car because the skyway felt like it was moving).

And my appetite was certainly mostly back yesterday, finally.

Running 30:00 [2] 3.22 mi (9:19 / mi)

Ran a mile with Zach! After dropping Luke off for his baseball game (19-6 in 4 innings for revenge over Penfield National who used their stud pitcher for 71 pitches to beat Luke on Tuesday; so they went thru 5 pitchers in 4 innings today), we went out for a little over 5 minutes, then came back. Then I went out for 10 minutes, turning around on Penfield Center Rd, and returning. Kicked it in, in under 4 minutes for the "5 minute" stretch.
8 PM

Strength 8:00 [1]

40 clams
30 side leg raises (toes were getting to the top of the card table)
40 fire hydrants
10 push-ups (didn't want to overdo it)
20 sit-ups

Hashing 0.0 mi

I'd upload the trail, but I gave nate my cradle to take to Europe (ahem, it doesn't look like he has used it yet...).

Someone ran left, a few meters up a gravel driveway leading to a field, while the true trail went straight, and the homeowner got ticked, so a couple of sheriff's cars were at the lot when we returned a couple of hours later. I was parked across the street, so was able to just punch out.

Running 37:16 [2] 4.0 mi (9:19 / mi)

Finally got out for a run - just did the Five Mile-Beacon loop. 90 degrees made for a very tough restart run. And I still am not feeling well. Splits were:
9:32, 8:50, 9:54, 9:00

Strength 4:00 [1]

40 clams
40 fire hydrants

Note
(sick) (rest day)

The doc thinks it is Lyme Disease, so I picked up some doxycycline, and had some blood drained to verify the diagnosis. Still too worn out to think about running (couldn't even get myself to drive back into work after the circuit.

Note
(sick) (rest day)

The fever continues, but no other flu symptoms. We may have found the cause, as Chris found a classic bulls-eye red mark on my back. I'll have to try to get into the doc's office tomorrow to confirm whether it may be lyme disease.
