Running 34:12 [2] 3.42 mi (10:00 / mi)
Yes, this does say running. I was certainly beyond Shuffling today as I moved around the state meet course at SUNY Canton. It looks like my loop for each race was about 1.14 miles and I moved around for six of the eight races (took at break during Class B races). I conservatively estimated that I ran about half of that distance.
I'm not supposed to run for another 28 days, but everything felt fine during, and more importantly, after this running. The weak point seemed to be my back, which I blame on not enough core work, so I have something else to focus on over the next four weeks.
The meet was great:
D girls: Brenna grabbed 16th and the Addison team was 5th
A girls: Thomas was hurt by 4-5 spots but "little Amanda" ran well. Alex C was top Section V by a wide margin
B girls: Mendon went out slow again and was not able to do much
C girls: EA with a 3 point win and Sophia pulled off the win (I sacrificed the finish to do some cheering with 400-500 to go, so I didn't see it
D boys: Izzy ran well - just over 30th
A boys: Sean Welch had a very nice run (41st I think) which shows where Justin could have been. McQuaid's top 2 ran well, but their team was awful
B boys: Mendon totally dominated this
C boys: EA had a challenge from Mount Academy early, then won going away! Kenny V had an outstanding race and finished 19 seconds ahead of the kid that led at 2.25 miles.
Walking 1:28:24 [1] 4.42 mi (20:00 / mi)
This is the walking half of the races, plus the bonus walking.
