Orienteering 1:15:32 [2] 3.38 mi (22:21 / mi) +146m 19:42 / mi

Thought it would be fun to go to Harriman and rerun some of the WOC Middle as I had my map from the Team Trails a few years ago. As it turns out, it was not so much fun. The map is very white, but the part of the course I could get to easily had a great deal of shrubs to annoy and slow me. Parked near a baseball field which seemed to be the only place to park near the course.

Had a time limit because I had to get back to Montgomery for Luke's baseball game (which they won, 16-5 for the NY State Little League Intermediate - 13 & under - title), so just went 17-16-15-14?-10 and in.

Running 48:08 intensity: (15:00 @1) + (33:08 @2) 3.5 mi (13:45 / mi) +6m 13:41 / mi

Ran at Stewart Park again, this time with Luke. I managed to get us going in the wrong direction, so we had a nice orienteering adventure to get back to the start. I should have trusted the Garmin more and we could have avoided the final bushwhack stretch.

I told Luke he only had to run 30 minutes today, so we walked the last part.

Note
(rest day)

Took the day off as I spent most of it at Darien Lake for Van's Warped Tour. Great experience. Zach and I went to see MC Lars, but caught several other excellent acts including TAT (just the lead singer doing acoustic), The Kenneths (relatively authentic punk band from London), Le Castle Vania (great electronic dance party), Sp;itbreed (hip hop) and Kosher Dill among others.

Running 40:00 [2] 3.0 mi (13:20 / mi)

Tried running at Stewart Park in Montgomery, NY. The map said there was a trail leading to the main trail network from the parking in the NW corner, but it turned out to be very overgrown, so I just tried running in the paths of least resistance.
