Running 40:46 [2] 1.6 mi (25:29 / mi) +11m 24:57 / mi

So, no actual "run" today, but did a lot of moving around (some sprinting, some jogging and much walking) during the XC doubleheader. In the AM, it was Roberts Wesleyan for zach's race and in the PM it was Victor for luke's race.

zach PR'd by almost a minute and a half, as he ran 28:33 on the course that last year was 45 seconds faster than last week's UR course.

luke did not PR, but only because the Sectional course was much tougher than the FLCC course from Tuesday.

This section is the women's race at RW plus Chris and I investigating the options for Z's race.

Running 39:28 [2] 1.43 mi (27:36 / mi) +10m 27:01 / mi

Well, two days off meant that I woke up much too heavy. In order to avoid another late arrival at home without having exercised, I decided to check whether MCC had a track a lunch time. Sure enough they have an unmaintained all-weather track around their (seldom-used?) football field.

So, I did my first track "workout" since surgery. I only did 4x400 with 100 walk + 100 jog recovery, and managed the following times:
1:58, 1:55, 1:46, 1:48

Just a short w/up and w/dn.

Note
(rest day)

Did not want another rest day, but went straight from work to Open House at Schroeder and since when we arrived home TNF was about to start, I was just sore enough to convince myself to skip today.

Note
(rest day)

Right after work I had to meet Chelsea's future in-laws, who are in from Ireland, so no chance to run. Instead, a very nice dinner at the Old Orchard.

Orienteering 48:56 [3] 3.03 mi (16:09 / mi) +125m 14:19 / mi

Map Hike at Hunters Creek. Got 1-2-3-4-9-8, then too dark to get 5 on the way in. Very short out and back at end to make it 3 miles.

Felt surprisingly good running up hills, perhaps getting just a little more fit.

Running 36:00 intensity: (12:00 @2) + (14:00 @3) + (6:00 @4) + (4:00 @5) 3.6 mi (10:00 / mi)

Running around during Luke's meet at FLCC. He improved his PR from 23:37 to 21:54. The course was easier than Center Park, but not by nearly that much.

Orienteering 43:00 [2] 3.0 mi (14:20 / mi)

Garmin was out of juice (I must have left it on last time?), so distance is an estimate. Map Hike at Emery. Started out with Chris, then joined her for a bit again, and tried to once more, but she had decided to run all the way down to the ski lodge, instead of staying on the upper loop.
