All dates were blank on the courses so I tried to pick one that I hadn't done this year to continue toward the all courses challenge they have going on. Started with the 190 pacer, then while I was riding, the leader board showed I had gone 16:26, so I worked hard near the end to beat that.

Was going to cruise a little easier with the 180 pacer, but it turns out that I had set my ghost to be fouser, so I had to go after him. He led slightly the first 1.5 miles or so, then I moved ahead and held a 3-7 second advantage most of the remainder of the course.
Right groin only a little uncomfortable with the effort.

So, I figured I would give Patty's Ski-o at Byrncliff a shot. I think it's been 5 years since I really skied. The foreshadowing was obvious when I fell going down an absolutely tiny hill to the start box. The first two controls were uphill and the next two had reasonable ups and downs, before C5 which was a long windy downhill trail leg. I went down once, then tried again and did a total faceplant, wrenching my right (non-surgical) hip in the process. I realized I couldn't get down the hill on skis, so walked down, then was sore enough that I had to pack it in (not to mention that I'm not certain I could have gotten the skis back on (Walt had to help me before the start).

Made it back from Byrncliff just in time to join FCH3 at Ellison Wetlands. Basically a counter-clockwise loop around the creek/swamp. It was extremely rugged and slippery, so I was very slow after the damage I did this morning. But for most of the course I wasn't that far behind the FRBs, so that was good.
