Running 56:18 intensity: (6:00 @1) + (6:28 @2) + (18:32 @3) + (18:40 @4) + (6:38 @5) 4.73 mi (11:54 / mi) +117m 11:03 / mi
ahr:137 max:164

Went over to Tyler State Park with yesterday's crew plus Clem. Couldn't find a map that would print, so just went around until the sun got behind clouds and I lost track of directions, then figured out how to get back. Mostly 4 min jog / 1 min walk cycles.

Shuffling 46:19 intensity: (18:53 @1) + (5:11 @2) + (13:05 @3) + (7:09 @4) + (2:01 @5) 3.86 mi (12:00 / mi) +13m 11:53 / mi
ahr:123 max:155 weight:171lbs

After driving to Yardley, went to the canal with Nate (who ran) and Christine and Luke (who walked), while I did something in between. 5 min walk to check the effects of yesterday, then decided I was good for 3 min jog / 3 min walk. Saw Nate just before I planned to turn around, so jogged a bit with him when he caught up the first time, then he took a break and did another hard 1/4 mile, so I chased him and was 7:35 pace for about 1:20, he took another break then caught me again and we jogged in.

RH3 from the park on Sibley Pl in the city. One of the longest urban trails that I've done - set by Bloody, Kitten and their virgin hare. Nice to stop at a couple of outdoor pubs for refreshments in the extreme heat.

Golfing 15:00 [1]
weight:172lbs

Left way too many strokes out there. Started on 2, and hit the green, but 3-putted for a bogey. Also did that on the other par 3. Went OB with a wedge on 3 and missed the green with a short chip on 4. Finished the last two holes with one of my best drives on 9, just 30 yards from the pin, but took a 5, then on 1, I hit two long, straight shots to get within 40 yards, but another 3-putt bogey ensued. 46 when it was over.

Running 39:14 intensity: (10 @0) + (1:55 @1) + (8:26 @2) + (6:26 @3) + (12:10 @4) + (10:07 @5) 3.75 mi (10:28 / mi)
ahr:140 max:164 weight:172lbs

Same workout at Thomas as 6/11, and I averaged about 3 secs faster per 800 (4x800 T w/ 100m walk after each). Went 4:14, 4:13, 4:10, 4:05, but paid the price as my right hip/groin were sore when I got out of the car at home. Threw two tennis balls back on the court just after starting the warm-up, and pulled the car over when leaving to toss another one back.

Unrelated, my next surgery will be on 8/5. My detached retina surgery has indeed encouraged cataracts, and I'm getting tired of only seeing decently from one eye. The doctor thinks there is a decent chance that a new lens will get my vision back close to pre-detachment days, which would be incredible.

ahr:128 max:170 weight:171lbs

Another bike ride with some pick-ups - no set intervals, just when I wanted to ride harder, and the section on 441 with no shoulder, going uphill from Five Mile to Baird.

ahr:133 max:157 weight:170lbs

4 min jog / 2 min walk cycles from the Big Field, before we went out to Castaways for the first family dinner out since the pandemic hit. It was outside, but we were placed next to a ridiculous table of 20 that kept walking around our table to visit the other end of their table, without having the courtesy of tossing on masks. Not sure if they were ignorant, over the top Trump supporters, or both. I hope just the former.
