Note
weight:171lbs (rest day)

Took the day off - even though my heart rate averaged below 100 at yesterday's event, it was still a long day.

RH3 from Ellison Park south lot set by Shewee and Vowel, with the trail mostly around Corbett's Glen, across the tracks and back. Got dark early so we had some challenges finding the trail late.

Golfing 15:00 [1]
weight:170lbs

Last week of league play, so it was position night and we went in with a 12-point advantage over second place, so with 40 pts available, we needed 15. Unfortunately, my partner was out of town, but I called in his partner from last year to sub, and he shot 45 with a 13 handicap, which helped us put it away early. I shot 42 and played well, except for 3-chipping (yes, chipping, and starting within 15 feet of the green both times) twice on par 4 holes for a triple and a double, so I was only 1-over on the other 7 holes, mostly thanks to a birdie on 9 where my wedge from 80 yards rolled into the flagstick and bounced off to two feet for an easy putt.

ROC Sol-O event at Durand Eastman - Long Advanced Course.
Although yesterday's run was fairly easy, it was on the longer side and did not do much to allow my legs to recover from the weekend, so they were heavy from the start, which did not bode well for the Durand hills. But I wasn't going to have another chance to run the course, so off I went.

Sluggish from the start, but navigated fairly cleanly (although I did not see any tape in the clear C1 location) until getting confused on the way to C9. Finally recovered and got on a roll again. However, going to C19, the wheels came off, and I stopped paying attention to the compass and let the contours lead me way too far right. AP splits say I lost 3 minutes, but it was probably at least 5.

Drove down to Mendon Ponds for a jog (4) / walk (1) effort as my quads were much to heavy from the last two days to think about the Sol-O course at Durand, so not sure when I'll fit that in. Extended past 4 minutes the two times that I saw people so that I didn't stop right before passing them. Extended the walk to 2.5 minutes to walk up Cardiac Hill. Saw more deer (9) than people (5), even though it was a very pleasant holiday afternoon.
