Saturday May 18 #

3 PM

Biking 45:00 [3] 14.52 mi (3:06 / mi)

P=159, C=78
45 min Rock Ride with Hannah Corbin on Chelsea's Peloton. I forgot that she takes a bunch of the harder stuff off, which is annoying.

Biking 30:00 [3] 10.18 mi (2:57 / mi)

P=180, C=83
30 min 90s Rock Ride with Emma Lovewell
Went much harder on this shorter workout - mostly because the target resistance/cadence combos were much more aggressive than the first ride.

ahr:129 max:150

4 min Jog / 1 min walk with Chelsea from her house over to Joey's soccer practice. Very pleasant run as we started easy and mostly picked up the pace over time, so the last stretches were 10:20/10:16.

Orienteering 3:20:15 [3] 9.0 mi (22:15 / mi)

Billygoat at Gunstock ski resort in NH. Turned out to be a minor disaster. Had a decent run going thru 11 controls, then missed 12 a bit to the right, with 3 others around. I saw the boulder on the edge of the circle and I got to the control first and took off north. Then I thought I had punched 13 and started to navigate to 14. I was surprised it took me so long to get to the stream and then realizedI was too far left, but wrote it off to following the hill more than the compass, and carried on. That turned out to be a mistake as I went on to skip 17 with Phil, resulting in a MSP. Cramps and a blister were my rewards, not a T-shirt.

Christine was much more successful, navigating the kid goat with Walt and Patty.
