Orienteering 2:30:00 [3] ****

Training at Rimmer road with the squad, some really good exercises but legs were smashed from the weekend. Morning was a partner memory exercise and afternoon control picking through the coastal strip, whilst hiding from the film crew using the forest road.

Orienteering race 41:00 [4]

Relay leg, I was running leg 3 with Nick and Hannah, nice not having to run middle leg for a top team- the advantages of being too old! Bit cruisy i wasnt pushing too hard as we were about 20th i think?

Orienteering 20:00 [2]

control pick up by memory as we only had one map

Orienteering race 43:00 [5]

Middle Distance
Did much better than precious days, really tried to slow it down and focus on the navigation. Ended up 13th I think? Had a few min errors, and probably should have pushed harder at the end, but was scared I would mess up the nav. Was on the middle earth map, with carnage hill at the end- apparently last time we are going to run here cause they are felling it next month :(

shoes: Inov-8 X-Talons

Long Distance Champs
Almost two hours of pain, but awesome map and course by Rob and Marquita. I need to practice route choice was the key lesson of today

Orienteering 35:00 [3]

Control collecting with julz, nick and tom in Garden's truck, thought we were all going to die the way he decided to drive it THROUGH the forest. went down to the bottom of the map they we hadnt got to on our course, its amazing, definitely one of the top ones around auckland, if not nz.

NZ Sprint Champs

yay nationals! and its sunny!
Albany campus, I liked how technical this sprint was, although managing to stay out of the out of bounds areas was complicated and definitely slowed you down. made several larger errors in the middle of the course which i definitely paid for
