Weather was still nice (not too hot and low humidity) so I decided to get some mapping in. It was still crowded at the parking area but not as bad as yesterday. Today i was planning on actually mapping as opposed to control vetting. So I picked an area to completely map instead of the corridor mapping I was doing while vetting. It took a while to work my way out to the area I had picked but i did get there and managed to cover the whole area. I have been using my OCAD Sketch tool on my phone instead of my mapping tablet. The phone is so much lighter and easier to carry so my shoulders don't get as sore. The phone GPS isn't as good but since I had the Lidar hill shade image on it I could see where I was even when the phone GPS was off some.
I saw a turtle, a deer (don't see them much in the hunting zones), lots of squirrels. Also saw people out walking dogs and riding bikes.
All in all, it was good day but I was tired by the time I got back.
