Today I did my exercise piecemeal. Instead of doing all my mapping then going running. I ran out to my mapping spot, did the mapping, then ran back. Normally I don't like to do this but I get all sweaty and drip all over the maps. Today it was cool enough I wasn't too worried about it. I did drip on my map but I cooled off quickly so it wasn't a problem.

I made a tactical mistake when deciding what area to map. Today I figured I would do one of the flood plains and get it out of the way. The areas tend to be marshy and more green which I knew. What I didn't figure on was that all the marsh plants have grown so what is normally open in the winter wasn't today. I spent large amounts of time wander in high grass/marsh/vegetation. Since I was in high grass/marsh plants I was most worried about snakes. I had to move the vegetation aside every step so I could see what I was stepping on. This made it very slow. It was also hard to determine what was light/med/fight green. Needless to say it wasn't a fun mapping day. At one point I was in the middle of a large grassy/marshy/green area and said I had enough and was just trying to get my way out.

Ran back in from mapping. It was all uphill this way so I was slow. Plus I was tired. 4 days of mapping in a row. I am not sure I have ever done that before. I need a rest day.
