Friday Apr 29

Run (road) 15:40 [3]2.0 mi (7:49 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT-2100
Easy two mile jog to work out the kinks from last night soccer game. Eye is still sensitive to quick light changes but seems to be ok.

Thursday Apr 28

Soccer (Indoor Game) 40:00 [5]
Supposed playoff game. However, the only thing we were playing for was to not be last. Team actually showed up for the 8:00 game. I should have eaten something before the game. I bonked, ran out of energy.... I was just a step behind. I played smarter and better the second half. Team tied 4-4. On the last play of the game I took a soccer ball to the face, right eye. The player blasted one at point blank. After it hit me, my mind registered that there was a ball coming. The ball was faster than the optic nerve. Vision was all blurry. I went pirate for awhile after the game with one eye closed.
Run warm up/down (road) 9:00 [2]1.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
After the soccer game, a quick stop at Taco Bell Darcy dropped my off and I jogged the last mile home to help loosen up.

Wednesday Apr 27

Run (5/8 trail) 1:02:59 [3]8.2 mi (7:40 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT-2100
Rt 175 + R&E loop. Calves were stiff but I just kept going anyway.

Tuesday Apr 26

Run (road) 34:14 [3]4.4 mi (7:46 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT-2100
Just a run to get out and move. Calves still sore from game yesterday. At least my foot was ok enough to run.

Soccer (Outdoor Game) 1:10:00 [3]
Played ok. Still not controlling the ball as I should. Scored the first goal of the game but we ultimately lost 4-2.
Early in the game I blocked someone kicking the ball by extending my leg out. While I blocked the ball my foot took the entire brunt of the momentum. I thought I had twisted my ankle but turned out to just be a 3 inch bruise/knot that really swelled up later.
