Other (x-country skiing) 55:17 [3]2.18 mi (25:22 / mi)
We had about 13 inches of Snow. I decided to take advantage of it and go x-country skiing on the trails behind my house. Nothing like a little night skiing to get the blood going. Well apparantly some ATV's beat me to it and tore up the snow on the trails. I decided to keep going. With patchs of deep snow, patches of tire tracks and my bad skiing it was quite a challendge. I finally decided to treat the skis like snow shoes and go running. They were very long and skinny snow shoes. Needless to say it didn't work to well. At least most of the trails were clear of fallen trees. I also came to the realization that my running gloves don't make good skiing gloves. The Snow sticks to the running gloves instead of brushing off.

Other (shoveling) 1:30:00 [2]
We got about 13 inches of snow. Darcy snow blowed while I shoveled. Most of the snow was light but the part the snow plow had done was very wet and very heavy.
