Other (biking) 1:30:00 [1] 20.0 mi (4:30 / mi)

Biked 20 miles and didn't have to hardly pedal. Did the Bike down Pikes peak. It was nice but cold. My hands were cold and the wind made everything else cold. It wasn't that cold on top and there was no wind but it was still cold enough. Cloud bank came in as we were reading to ride. Still nice views once we got below the cloud.

Run (road) 50:24 [3] 6.5 mi (7:45 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 5

Need to keep getting aclimated to the altitude so went for a run. It turned out to be longer than I thought with a lot of uphill. I had to stop and walk the last little part because my back was hurting.
The distance is a guestimate.

Orienteering race (rmoc day2 blue) 1:33:49 [4] 13.3 km (7:03 / km) +310m 6:19 / km
slept:7.25 shoes: O shoes: Falcons 06

felt much better today. Yester I was larthargic. Today I was just normal out of shape tired. I was able to keep moving today although still not very fast.

There was a lack of water on the course. There were no water stops at controls which was very poor.

Orienteering race (rmoc blue) 1:25:57 [3] *** 11.3 km (7:36 / km) +245m 6:52 / km
spiked:20/22c slept:7.5 shoes: O shoes: Falcons 06

Nice Weather, wide open Colorado without to much climb. I only wish I was in shape to take advantage of it. They didn't tell us the scale of the map and I just assumed it would be 1:15,000. It wasn't. Fortunately I realized this on my way to first control. Unfortunatly, I was using my 1:15,000 compass scale so had a tough time measuring distances.
I screwed up an early control because I overshot it.
I lost 5 minutes on a badly mapped area. Control was hung in cleft between some rocks. The map was misleading on how it would look. I spent 5 minutes circling the rocks looking for the control.
In general, I just had no energy and had to walk in areas that I should have to (altitude). I was also not in any hurry has 11K is to far for me in my current shape.
