Sunday Aug 12

Orienteering race (sprint relay) 15:03 [5]*** 2.4 km (6:16 / km)
slept:7.0 shoes: O shoes: Falcons 06
Sprint Relay. Micheal Lyons was our first person out and finished 2nd. He put the pressure on me. I ran hard but just couldn't breath at full pace. Had to walk to catch my breath. I handed off to Eric Buckley. Eric was able to hold Ed White be he had to a)Not wait long enough for the beep at control 9 and mispunch the go control. So while we finished 2nd, we were last in the standings.

Sprint C - Splits

Saturday Aug 11

Orienteering long (Red) 2:11:27 [4]14 km (9:23 / km)
shoes: O shoes: Falcons 06
They started the red in waves so while I was towards the lead of my group I was steadily passing other red runners.

Red - Splits

Friday Aug 10

No major mistakes but still wasn't that fast. I tried to just keep moving.

Blue short - Splits

Wednesday Aug 8

Orienteering race (night O- red) 1:24:07 [3]7.6 km (11:04 / km)

Night-O Red - Splits

Tuesday Aug 7

Other (biking) 1:30:00 [1]20.0 mi (4:30 / mi)
Biked 20 miles and didn't have to hardly pedal. Did the Bike down Pikes peak. It was nice but cold. My hands were cold and the wind made everything else cold. It wasn't that cold on top and there was no wind but it was still cold enough. Cloud bank came in as we were reading to ride. Still nice views once we got below the cloud.

Monday Aug 6

Run (road) 50:24 [3]6.5 mi (7:45 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 5
Need to keep getting aclimated to the altitude so went for a run. It turned out to be longer than I thought with a lot of uphill. I had to stop and walk the last little part because my back was hurting.
The distance is a guestimate.
