My calves were sore from yesterday's soccer practice but I really need to get into shape. Decided to just start and see how things felt. Did end up going the full 4.4 rather than cut it short. Calves did loosen up.

Hard practice with lots of quick running. muscles were hurting by the end. The games start next week.

Nice easy wheaton course. I didn't run very fast but did try to keep moving. Only had difficulty on the controls that were mishung. I lost time 30 seconds waiting for horses to cross and 3 minutes when I stopped to help a lost yellow orienteer. I had to teach him how to orient the map. He was way, way off from where he wanted to be.

stiff by the time of control pickup. Didn't move very fast. Tough time untiring the strings. Confirmed that several controls hung in wrong spot. Not a major problem as they were hung high.
