Soccer (outdoor) 1:20:00 [3]
shoes: Soccer:outdoor 08

I thought my thigh was all healed but the first time I kicked the ball it didn't feel good. I think if just healed tight. It didn't get any worse but I played carefully. We played a new team so we looked good. We won 3-1 and scored all 4 goals. A good start to the season.

Run 30:52 [3] 4.5 mi (6:52 / mi)
shoes: Nike 2008

Run on the ship, somewhere off the coast of Alaska. We will call it
Hubbard Glacier eventhough we were there in the morning and it is now late afternoon. I have been eating too much so ran with a borderline sideache. Thought about cutting the run short but it never got bad so I just kept going.

Run 31:36 [3] 4.4 mi (7:11 / mi)
shoes: Nike 2008

Run on the ship. Somewhere off Ice Straights, Alaska. Really amazing place to see some whales. for about an hour we passed areas full of whales. None were that close and you needed binoculars to get a good look but still really cool.
It was cold when I ran. Felt good once I got going but chilly a first. As always, windy on one side.

Run 47:08 [3] 5.55 mi (8:30 / mi)
shoes: Nike 2008

Run in Skagway. Decided to actually run on land since we were docked up. Wasn't sure where to run. I had been to skagway several years ago with Eddie Bergeron and we hiked a trail. I was worried about running the trail by myself (bears, or getting hurt and missing the boat departing...). The trail was right next to where the salmon were spawning so I wanted to run there and watch anywhere. When I got there, the trail looked crowded with lots of people on it so I decided to do it. Ran to the lower lake and ran around the lake. It was nice run if you don't mind climbing 1000 feet first to get there. Getting up to the ridge where the lake was very tough. Once I got there the first part of the lake run was very nice. The back side of the lake was less used and very rocky. There were several places it was impossible to run and I had to hike/climb over rocks.
Coming back down the hill was also tough. Stopped to look at the fish again, then the 1/2 mile back to the boat.
