Run 1: Half Mar trail race. For this distance, I think you want to do a fairly short warmup and just like for your workouts, try to do so right before the start. 5:00 - 10:00 easy flat jogging plus a few gradual strides.

Felt good throughout. Did a little walking up some hills towards the end but with 33 degrees start and probably 50 degree finish, along with sunny skies and nice forest and fields, the race was a lot of fun.

Run 2: One mid-week combo workout. Flat Cruise + Hill Cruise Interval workout:

a. 10:00 - 15:00 Easy Pace warmup.
b. 4 x :15 flat strides.
c. 3 x 5:00 flat at 9:00 per mile, with 2:00 recoveries at Easy Pace between each.
d. 3 x 5:00 hills at today’s easy pace / 6% with 2:00 recoveries at Easy Pace between each.
e. 10:00 -15:00 Easy Pace cool-down.
