Second day of solo. Also slept most of today just because there wasn't really much else to do. Made a fence and fort out of sticks as well. Solo ended around 4:30 and then we kinda started our final that evening at dinner. That went really well. Also Astin cleaned my leg up for me which was nice! went to bed early. | ||

| Today was our multi pitch climb!!! it was so much fun! we did a three pitch climb. However there was a lot of waiting around as there were only three lines you could climb so we had to go in two groups. Then we were supposed to rappel down. Most people got to but Austin and I had to go around to a hand rail to get down as a storm came in and we had to get everyone down fast. | ||

got up early to go hike to water. We had to hike i think at least a mile before we hit water maybe more. It was mostly down hill though. Not really sure how far we hiked but will add that when i find out. We hiked all the way down to a campsite near a river. This was the first time we got to really rinse off. Had a bit of free time today as well, that was nice. Went to bed early though was we had the bush push the next day. | ||

well got up early and had to cook breakfast. oatmeal (EWW!) then we started hiking, however we made a 180 right out of camp. we hiked a half mile before i got a hold of the map and realised that the river was on the wrong side of us. so we had to turn around and walk back passed camp to the right trail. We then started hiking in the right direction. We were really slow and took lots of breaks! people were not used to walking that far with heavy packs on. There was also a lot of climb, not sure how much though. we actaully had to to camp at a closer campsite than planned becuase we didn't move fast enough and we had to do a 30 min lightning drill. We also didn't have any water so we didn't get to eat a real dinner but had a lunch or a snack instead. probably the hardest day of the course. | ||

| OUTWARD BOUND - DAY 1
met everybody at the airport at like 1:30ish. got in the van and was driven to the place where we were going to start my course. We did the duffle/shuffle where you learn to pack your backpack and change all your clothes from your duffle to your pack. Then we hiked one mile to our first campsite. It took us so long as It was the first time for most of us to have packs on and some of ours were really heavy. I think mine was about 45 to 50 pounds and at least 6inches taller than me. great first day though! | ||

| LAST DAY OF SCHOOL. It was a bittersweet day. Happy for summer holiday and being able to stop doing so much work, But sad because i'm going to miss everyone especially my english teacher who is leaving.

| ok so running at 2:45 in the afternoon was NOT one of my better ideas. It was WAY too hot out!! and i was really dehydrated. But i took ellie out for a two mile run anyway. I wanted to start chipping away at the 375 miles i have to run this summer. only 373 more to go! | ||

| SLA's FIRST FIELD DAY!!! it was so much fun!! and super hot out! We did a ton of relays and then i played some soccer. The relays were a lot of fun! one we had to put to pieces of clothing on and then off as fast as we could and then run back to our team. So i guess the relays can count as a little bit of intervel training. Then we played a small game of soccer. Oh and i ran a small set of bleachers while waitting for everyone to get ready to go back to school.
So some of this was like 1 and other parts were 3 so logging it as 2. was a very fun day! | ||

| Took Hannah and Jas to the gym today to meet Ron and take his class. It was a lot of fun!! and a hard class. They liked him which is cool to! went to mugshots afterwards. | ||

| Went to our friends house in NJ and we took the dog. She was being hyper so i decided to take her for a jog around the neighborhood. was a nice short jog but it was nice to streach my legs. Couldn't go to fast as ellie couldn't keep up (shilly short legs) | ||

| walked over to this ramp on the path and ran 5 intervals. The ramp was super steep. I could have done a few more but my mom wanted to get back so we could have dinner. Totally want to run this ramp all summer i think it would really improve my speed and orienteering.
52.81 56.89 1:01.56 1:07.63 1:08.35 so they got consistently slower but not to to bad. It is a start, you have to start some where. Would love to figure out the climb. | ||

We had ten winners and i was one of them. I was very happy about that as i worked extremely hard on my project (comparing the EPA's CO2 emissions of ethanol, bio-diesel, diesel, and gas to the CO2 emission that i collected from burning all of them) tiring day. hope to get some training in soon!!! end of school is killing my training grrr | ||

was at the bike race from start to finish today. it was so much fun as all ways. this i think has to be my favorite event that is held on the parkway. so did a lot of walking up and down the small part of the race course near the art museum. (lemon hill is the best place to be! although never been to the wall) however not going to count it as training as it wasn't. hoping to get to the gym tomorrow with my mom though to do Ron's class. | ||

| went to the gym with my mom to take this guy Ron's class. we did a bunch of weight stuff which was KILLER on the arms!!!! but probably so good to be doing before outward bound. Got to do some dancing though at the end which was a lot of fun!!! however i never want to see my mom and the other older adults in the class ever do those moves again. no actually it was funny so maybe to make me laugh.
Going to try and get my adviser/principal to come to the Saturday class so that Ron can come and doing something at my school next year. | ||
