Mid-Atlantic Championships.

I ran orange to help DVOA get points. It was a good course mostly trail running though. Messed up the go control, and was just plain slow though. Going for the first run after being sick is not that fun! will hopefully remember to write more later or at least add the distance when i find my map.

So my training log is really lame right now but i'm trying to figure out what i can do that isn't running as my coach wants me to rest from running for two months. Also i have been sick.

anyway so i decided i'm going to try and do skulls everyday that way when track starts i'll actually be able to do them no problem.

still kinda sick, and getting very annoyed with it.

hoping to start doing some training soon. Maybe go to the gym with mom? do the strength/ core workout for XC? i'm not sure yet. Maybe i'll pull up the training plan wyatt wrote last January and do that. I'm really not sure, i hate not having a schedule so hard to keep training without it.

Felt kinda crappy yesterday and last night i felt really bad and couldn't fall asleep. Today i felt pretty bad so didn't go to school. Head is hot, nose all stuffed up, super tired. I have no idea where this came from!

DVOA Long-o Champs.

decided to run Green as it was only .2k longer than the orange and it would be better training. Boy was it long!!! Didn't have too much trouble finding the controls however I think i had some poor route choses. And i was not planing ahead what so ever!!!! I really need to work on having my whole route planed for the next control before leaving the previous one, not half of a plan and having to come up with it as i run. At least i found i need to work on that for long legs, short legs i'm pretty good with that.

So over all nice course. Was sad however as my dad beat me by 10 mins and i thought i had a good enough run to beat him or at least come closer than that. Oh well next time :)

Walked to the advanced start with my friend and then jogged back as a warm up. Then stretched some before my start. Was hopping that with a longer warm-up i wouldn't cramp up so badly. I didn't cramp up but i'm not sure if it was from the longer warm-up or eating a better breakfast.

Second day of the US champs. Did much better today than Day 1. Had a little trouble with #'s 5 and 7. Also i think i had a few bad route chooses. Other than that though i felt like i was running well and my flow was much better than Day 1.

Hoping to post more and maybe a scan of my route when i get the time.

Walked to the start and stretched very briefly.

When i got in my legs just cramped up really badly!!! i had to keep jogging around for a while before i could even start stretching. Finally was able to stretch without it hurting too badly. Not sure what caused all the cramps especially in my right leg. not enough food? water? too short of a warm up? really not sure.
