well yesturday was fun!! apart from my fall. My ankle hurt all day and at school i had to hobble around. It is swollen to about twice the size. I'm iceing it but that so far hasn't done anything to help. Oh well i guess this means a few days of doing nothing. that stinks!!!

well I did my first "Green" today. however the green was more like an orange, and i have done harder oranges than this. Oh well it is still cool to be able to say that i have run a green now. And when i left i was in second which is also cool.

I was going to take splits but the start was weird and I started my watch, took the first split and then forgot after that. Oh well next time. Didn't have that much deficulty. Almost did a 180 a few times but stoped myself. I ended up running most of the course with Sandy Alshwede. We had a few differnet routes. She beat me to the finish (bad route to the last control but found it without to much circling) but i started after her.

I hope I can run a real green course soon!!

well the head of the schuylkill regatta that i was going to do a demontrastion race in tomorrow has been cancled due to bad weather expected. I'm upset cus i was really looking forward to rowing in it. but oh well nothing anyone can do about the weather.

first high school dance!! Halloween dance! ok so this really shouldn't count but my legs really hurt now. and i did dance the whole time and in hiking boots cus i went as Jane Goodall. It was a lot of fun!

well not sure what i did yesturday at practise but today i'm really feeling bad. my legs hurt a lot and it hurts to breath deeply. I think it was from breathing all the cold air while running. anyway not going to do anything except strech today (if i don't have that much hw anyway)

to windy and cold out so our coach didn't let us out on the water. we went for a run instead. I felt really slow today. I think i might have been because this was the first day i ran when it was really cold out.

8:21-first mile
6:41- up to turn around (not sure how far)
6:44- back to the 1 mile mark
9:07- last mile.

had the same time as at camp so that is good. i know i didn't get any worse, wish i had gotten better though.

had to do a 10k erg relay agian. i think i endded up erging 2k plus pulling the chian while people were getting on and off. my team lost sadly but that was because we had the weak people. oh well always next time.

ran the white course to make sure all the controls had the right numbers on them and they were in the right place. Ran it kinda hard because it was the only time i was going to get to run today. Did it as kind of a memory-o because i had designed the course. brought the map with me and only looked at it at the controls to make sure they were in the right place.

walked and picked up the white and yellow controls with dayne and dillian. we walked slowish and talked along the way. we couldn't find one of the yellow controls though. it was one that was also on orange. we couldn't find it so thought someone had already gotten it. turns out when we got back that no one had. So steve had to back out and look for it. i still don;t know if he found it but i hope he did because it had an e-punch with it.

had practise. got to go out today. We did an all girl 8 and an all guy 8. the girls boat could not funcksion for the first part of practise. Our coxswain was the worst!!! she kept talking about stuff not even related to crew and then we would end up on the wrong side of the river. We almost crashed like 3 or 4 times. when we got to temple's boat house we switched up the boats. we switched peoples seats and switched boats (one is better than the other) oh and we switched coxswains to. after that the girls were creaming the guys. We rowed really well (well for us).

one more practise than our race. OH NO!!!

another waltz class. It was fun not many of us there today though. We got to learn a new step which was cool!

yesturday my running coach at school told me the best time to streach is in bed right after you wake up. He told us we should try streaching for about 5 mins than and that would help us a lot. So i started today and streached for 5 mins. it felt really good and i was all nice and lose most of the day. not really sure how ti is going to help me but it is worth a shot. now i just have to remember to do it!!

stretched before going for a run in running club. Felt really good to stretch out. we also did push ups and a type of crunches called sculing.

went for a 2 mile run (lloyd hall and back) with the running club. forgot running clothes so had to run in jeans. Was a pretty good run though! running in jeans didn't slow me down at all.

i took out the breaks so actually the real time was 30 mins but that was because we had to stay together and people had to go to the bathroom at lloyd hall.

walked the Aids walk (the loop) with my mom, sister and some of her friends. it was fun!! not as cold as i thouhgt it would be. We did it a lot faster than normal!! my goal was to do it under 2hrs 30mins so we just made it. Next year i hope to be able to run it.

did feel like separating my crew practise all out into separate training things so i'll put it all in here.

Our launch was MIA so we couldn't go out in the boats which stinks. Someone said it might be broken but my coach had no idea of any of things until this morning. so instead we did stuff in the gym.

*we streached to warm up
*did some strangth work- crunches, push ups (which i can't do), dips all that nice stuff.
*then a 10k erging relay- we each had to erg about 1.3-1.5 k. i think i did 1.5K, i was really slow though. My team won so we were very happy
*then my coach made us jog aroung the gym for 5 mins to cooldown and so we didn't cramp up
*then we did some yoga streaches and worked on breathing.

over all i think it was a very good work out and i have found out i need to streach a lot more than i do.

second waltz class. today we worked on what we learnt last week and movie up and down the right way as well as posture. It was a lot of fun, but my arms kinda hurt now.

stretched with the team at the race st. enterance of the path. We did a bunch of streches and some strangth stuff.

Ran from race st. entrance to the 1 mile mark and back. just under a 4 mile round trip (if you count the warm up and cool down it is 4 miles.) felt pretty good and was i think going faster than normale.

boring day. didn't really do anything.

just looked at the new USOF rankings that was sad. I got bumped down 2 spots. i'm now in 6th place :'( I really need to get to a meet so i can dump the DNF i got at the US champs that might help my rankings a lot.

Ran orange at DVOA's French Creek North meet. Did ok, not great, but not really really bad. I messed up two controls pretty badly. #1 to #2 gave me the biggest trouble. I had to reacttack it about 3 or 4 times. Same with control #4 there were 3 other pits right near it and i didn't see my pit. Other then that had a good run and ran a lot more then i normally do.

stretched after my shower. It felt really good because i was super tight for some reason. My legs still hurt a bit but not as bad as before.

Walked up to St. Joes boat house because that is where my mom and dad's dragon boat race was. They did really well they came in 11th over all! but my legs hurt a lot from standing around watching for over 5 hours. and it was super cold out!!

I probably shouldn't be counting the ballroom club on here but oh well. I do feel like i have worked a little bit when i'm done. or at lest today because we were learning the waltz and we had to do a lot of up and down stepping. It is a lot of fun to!!! so i'm counting it until someone says that they have a problem with that.

Did a nice long streach with everyone in the running club. I felt really good after that. I need to streach a lot more than I do!

ran up to lloyd hall and back with 5 other people from the running club. They were so SLOW!!!!! i ran slower than i normaly walk. So i hope next week there will be some faster people i can run with that will also run further.

I fell on sunday during the course and hit my knee pretty hard on some rocks. I didn't think it was that bad of a fall but now my whole knee is brused. And hurts a lot when i bump it. i guess i should have iced it like my mom said.

Did another course today in the pooring rain. did it with dayne this time. was going to walk all of it but then ended up running anyway. I only really messed up one control. it was a super long leg with a lot of climb, and we over shot before we started the climb so that thru us off. Then i almost forgot the last control again like i did at the us champs. I don't know why i keep doing that!!!!!
