| Ran my first brown at an a-meet and it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. That could be because Fair Hill is more of a runners place than a navigators place but still. I was 17 mins behind Holly though so that is quite a lot. I don't have my map in front of me so i'll come and edit this when I do. I don't remember having any major mistakes, but I walked almost the whole course becuase of my knee.

| Walked the modle with catherine while the rest of the west coast juniors ran it. We all went in pairs so we could really look at the terain and get some practice in. I was very glad catherine was up for walk it!!! we both had really no problems finding any of the controls. It was funny thought at the beginning they were all like "this isn't dark green! why is it mapped dark green?" they soon found out why after getting quite a few scratches!! | ||

| we played soccer and frizbe for a bit befor and after we ran the modle. it was a nice way to get to know everyone a little better. Too bad all the east coast juniors weren't there yet that would have been really fun!! | ||

| So took a break between school and hw and my sister and i did a little DDR. It hurt my left knee a little today though. I'm not sure if it is because i'm tight and need to streatch or if it is that i was try harder ones this time and the little jumping i was doing was hurting it. hmm.... | ||

| talked mom and dad into getting a DDR pad today when we were in best buys. It was on sale for like $65, the same one that sandy has. So my sister and I had fun trying to set it up today and then playing for about an hr but we had to take turns so I'm logging it as only half an hour. And i can't do very hard ones so it wasn't that much of a workout but it was more than i have been doing resently. | ||

| ok so i tried going to track on tuesday and i wasn't alowed to do anything so stayed there to just help my coah run the drills. Yesturday i didn't have any time to do anything. And today hasen't endded yet so not sure if i'm going to get anything in or not. So i guess my training has gone way down hill, which stinks. | ||

So we did some biking for a little bit. I wasn't sure if my knee was going to like it but it didn't hurt at all which was good!! | ||

| Well my knee still hurt today, and i was having a little bit of a hard time walking. tried having ice on it as much as i could, that i think helped quite a bit. My dad is also trying to set up an appointment with a doctor.
so i guess basicly there won't be too much on my log for a bit as i try to get ride of this injury. i thought it had gotten better which is why i ran yesterday but i guess not. | ||

| Well i had a good run apart from my knee really hurting after the first half or so of the course. Was really muddy and slippery out which i don't think helped things. my navigation was good though, i think the winter training that sandy set up helped a lot.
endded up only being about 22-23 mins behind greg which i thought was very good considering i hardly ran because of my knee. However i should not blam my knee for being so far behind. | ||

| Got two new pairs of shoes today because my dad is so nice to me. One pair is for track and pavement running, and the other pair is for trail running. Hopefully this will clear up my knee problems. | ||

| walked to lloyd hall to what we thought was goign to be a race. turns out the lady for the school district was wrong there was no race. It was some kick off event for "students run philly style" which is some programe for kids to get them running and some of them training to run the broad st run (10 miles) we could have done it but we desided that we wanted to run more than a mile today so we didn't. | ||

| desided to run up to St Joes' boat house and back (4.5 miles) tried working on lengthening my stride. that worked for about the first 3 miles then my knee started hurting. first the back of it, then the outside of my left knee. Not really sure what I did but it hurts. It might have been from my fall in the iced over creek, as I still have a big bruse from that and right in the place that it hurts. Or it could be my shoes, as I have done 260 miles on them and i'm starting to feel every little thing.
I was wanting to run this in 36 or 37 mins but knee hurt to much. 7:45 8:36 9:15 9:55- knee really hurt 4:39 | ||

| NICE DAY!!!!! half day and great weather. have a race tomorrow so I wasn't supposed to do that much but really wanted to get out and do something since it was so nice out. So I went for a walk with my mom and ellie (my dog) just to strectch my legs. Ran about a mile in the middle though so got a little bit of a run in. Worked on lengthening my stride though and not so much speed. | ||

| Did drills today but only did the ones that were for distance so we could get ready for our race on saturday. so did jumping for distance (which i can't do) butts kicks, high knees, running on toes forwards and backwards, and this weird arm one.
then we talked about the race and what our coach wanted us to do. He wants me to run the 5k in 25 mins or under. not so sure i can do that but i'll try! | ||

| met up with my friend lexi and went for a short run with her. we ran the streets to the art mueseam and then back along the path. she was only going to run for about 25 mins. so after she hit 25 mins we stopped and stretched and talked for a bit as i haven't seen her in a while and then i ran back home.
