| So decided that i couldn't concentrate on homework that i had too much energy that i had to get ride of. so the only thing i could think of to both kinda destress from the day and get a workout was DDR. haven't played in a while and didn't know how my knee was going to react but tried anyway. It was pretty good actually. I still can pass the easy level of step mania, however knee did start to hurt towards the end. So i'll have to watch that if i keep trying this workout. PT said that it was ok if it hurt a LITTLE while i did anything but if it hurt after that wasn't good. So it didn't hurt after so i'm just going to ice for 5 -10 mins. | ||

| Went to Physical Therapy today. So Basically that was the last time i have to go. Kim Decided that i have just bruised my knee cap and there really isn't much else she can do. She gave me some more workouts to do though. and told me to keep icing. Also that the workouts will probably help and that it is just going to take time for my knee to heal, and that when it starts to hurt i really just have to stop and stretch and ice and that eventually it will go away. Well i hope she is right i hope it goes away soon because this is really annoying!!! | ||

Was good could talk a bit better this week than last and me knee didn't really bug me. my shins hurt a little little bit but other than that it didn't really bug me. So very happy about that!!!!! and i went a little further this week to. | ||

iced for 30 minutes after this in the school office while talking to people about this weekend. we are holding a education conference called Educon 2.0. I'm doing a session on sunday with my mentor on how he is mentoring me on my project of greening my school from Texas. It should be pretty cool!! Oh yeah and did the Training 4 that Boris sent out. Those tests were a lot harder than i thought!!!! I think i'm going to have to keep doing them every so often so i really get the weird symbols down. | ||

| We had our windows replaced yesterday so sunday was moving everything around so they could do it and yesterday was dusting everything and cleaning up (which will happen again today as they didn't finish) so didn't have time or space to do my PT workout sadly. Hopping to get to do it today! | ||

| Ok so i'm really bad and haven't done my PT workout in three days!!! I feel really bad because i know i should be doing it everyday but the past three days with the windows i have been made to help take the house apart, clean and then put it together. I thought i was going to be done the put together earlier so i could do it but alas TVs these days have become way to complicated to it took dad and i ages to figure out how to put that back together and have everything working the way it should. So i guess another day without training and pray tomorrow i get it in. | ||

| First run since my birthday. Felt very out of shape, but not really like physically weak i think it was more that i couldn't take in as much oxygen as i could during XC season. Knee started hurting right as i got to the I-676 bridge on the way back so maybe a 1.5 miles into this run. Hurt bottom right of my left knee. Didn't hurt as much as before though so i'm taking that as a good sign and it looks like my time for this as an easy run hasn't slowed too too much.

| Knee started hurting mid day today so I decided i would ice it during a lecture at my school given by Dr. Spencer Wells, National Geographic Explorer in Residence. His lecture was soo good!!!! I was really excited to hear him talk as i got to see his movie in 7th or 8th grade and loved it. I find it so cool that we can actually track our species all the way back to one or two tribes in Africa, and that everyone originated from there. I got him to sign my lab coat!
anyway also iced for 20 mins after workout. | ||

| end of quarter projects are all starting to be due so spent all night fix and finishing my history play that has to incorporate some of John Locke and Rousseau's theories. Mine ended up being about "black slate" vs. knowing right from all along represented in a court case about a teen stealing. Turned ok good (i hope my teacher hopes so anyway) with that being said didn't get around to doing my PT strength stuff which i'm upset about however i did ice while working as my knee hurt a bit today. Tomorrow the strength workout will continue. | ||

| So my physical therapist gave me two workouts to do once a day.
1st one- you lay on your side, bend one leg and across it over the other and put your foot flat on the ground. then you put an ankle weight on the other foot and raise that one up in the air 6 inches and then back down. I have to do that 20 times on each leg, 3 times. 2nd one- you lay on your back and put a small ball (like a bouncy ball) in between your legs and squeeze it. Then you raise one leg and hold for 3 seconds, while squeezing the ball still. 10 on each leg, 3 times. They don't hurt too much while doing them, well squeezing the ball after a while does so she said when it does just pause for a short time. My legs however hurt quite a bit today (like back of legs) from the resistance stuff she had me do and this workout yesterday. so we will see how i feel tomorrow i guess. | ||

| Went to my first physical therapy today. It was just an evaluation though. However Kim (my physical therapist) thinks that my knee problem is from my fall last February at Valley Forge where i fell through ice. So she said that my knee probably isn't tracking quite right and rubbing agents another bone. Also that it could take 1-2 years to heal. So she gave me some strength stuff to try and help my knee track properly and help fix this problem. I can still run but she just said LOT OF ICE!!!! like ice right after any workout for at least 5 mins. and that i don't have to go to her twice a week every week we can play it by ear. So we will see how this goes. | ||

| Was hopping to get something in this week but so far haven't. My knees have started hurting a bit more since going to the doctor. maybe all the pocking and bending/moving they did? They definitely found the spot on my left knee that hurt though owww...
have my first physical therapy on monday it is an evaluation and we will figure out the game plan then. hopfully this all gets cleared up soon!!! Track practices start on monday as well. we are going to only practice two days a week until the end on march though i think. | ||

| Went back to the Knee Doctor this morning. He said that I have tendinitis in my knee. This means probably physical therapy 1-2 times a week for 6-8 weeks. But does mean i should be running. So hopefully I will have stuff to add to my Log soon!! | ||
